Thanks for the MANY Great Memories of The Legendary Moondance Halloween Party!

The Moondance Halloween Party had a remarkable run. For over a decade, lots of fun people came, and danced to great music. The party outgrew our home, and after two years in alternative locations, we've decided to let it live on in our memories only.

But... If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this compilation of my top 200 (or so) photos is worth about a quarter million words. What's left to say? Not much. Thank you for making this event so memorable.

The Skoal Brothers Featuring Jackie Brown

As always, we'll have GREAT danceable classics, with live music from 9:00 to midnight. At this year's party The Skoal Brothers featuring Jackie Brown will rock the barn with awesome tunes from 9:00(ish) to midnight (or so). The Skoal Brothers is "a State College-based, high energy, Blues-inspired Rock N' Roll Band with a Lil' Soul."

You know you can count on our tradition of great music. Would Jackie Brown let you down? (-:

New Location - The Barn at Eagle Spirit Farm

Our GREAT friends, Keith and Kathy Nelson have graciously offered to host the Halloween Party in their appropriately spooky barn -- the same place they were married in June.

Their "Eagle Spirit Farm" (or was it Evil Spirit Farm) is located at

5117 Halfmoon Valley Road, Warriors Mark, PA 16877

It's about 23 minutes from the PSU Campus, according to Google Maps. Use the "Get Directions" button below to get step by step directions from your location, or use these "old school" Directions:

Head down Route 550 toward Stormstown.
When you get to Way Fruit Farm, drive 5.6 miles.
As you pass a stack of pallets on the right and you will see “Slow Down” hand painted across the road (done but the residents, not by our party).
As you head slowly down the hill you will spot our sign, with arrows indicating a right turn and some balloons.
Turn down the driveway, which is sort of hidden behind the large tree with the sign.
To park, keep going slowly down the driveway, past the barn on your left and into the field just beyond the barn.
Then come in and join the party!

Our Decorators (Yes, this year we have decorators!)

About Double Helix Design

Two decorators and other helpers under their direction will be decorating the barn for this year's party. Samantha Monach and her sister Avril Krieg run Double Helix Designs, a small shop run out of Samantha's basement. They take old beat up furniture and turn it into something new and useful. Perhaps it's an old dresser they'll turn into a kitchen island or a antique door they'll turn into a table. In their shop you might find everything from a small beach sign to a large dining room table with 6 chairs Their designs are one of a kind, handmade, hand-painted, and absolutely beautiful -- or perhaps spooky!
