Ted McCloskey & The HiFis

Ted McCloskey has been telling compelling stories to local and national audiences for years. He is a singer/songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist, a producer, and film/television composer. He has sixteen records to his name alone including 2025’s critically acclaimed Four More on the Floor. His music has been featured on hundreds of network and cable programs and he’s shared the stage with the likes of Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, and Alejandro Escovedo.

He has a long history of working with other local musicians (including Molly Countermine, in Ted & Molly). I have seen and been very impressed with Ted in a wide variety of settings and a wide range of music, starting with an incredibly high-energy performance at the State Theater tribute show, where he was the high point of a great night for me. I learned more about Ted as a songwriter and artist during an album release show in The Attic, and have enjoyed many performances at the American Ale House piano bar with Molly and Veronica Auger.

WPSU's "Local Grove" described his work as "a mix of rock, grunge, blues, and punk" (See the video here).
